Common Feature in Software

  • Combination of keystoke for specific action: keyboard intense to decrease the movement, give more speed and more easy to work
  • Location of web page or file in computer: decrease duplication of file, avoid the confuse when search newest version of file, give more speed and more easy to access file
Common feature
  • Menu bar: part of software that grouping menu and show text only, usually placed in the top of window
  • Tool bar: part of software that show icon, can stick or removable in new window
  • Ribbon: part of software that grouping toolbar in to tab, combination of menubar and toolbar, usually placed in the top of window
  • Menu context: part of sofware that show menu caused by interaction from user and specific for object, example: right click menu
  • Tooltips: part of software that show simple information of control on mouse over
  • Status bar: part of software that summarize important information from specific action, usually placed in the bottom of window
  • Tab: part of software as container of multiple window - recomended use tab instead open new window
  • Dialog window: a message that need interaction from user - information, exclamation, warning
  • Window: visual are that all control placed
  • Modal window: window that lock its caller
  • Throbber: animation indicate the activity
Special feature
  • Adress bar: part of software to adressing file or web - web browser, file explorer
  • Breadcrumb: adressing style that leave a trace - file explorer, web page
  • Toast: small window dan informative shown by software
  • Heads-Up Display: show character status - game
  • Formula bar - spreadsheet
File management
  • Copy: duplicate
  • Move: dupicate, then erase source
  • Delete
  • Upload: copy to device/internet
  • Download: copy from device/internet
Malware
Virus: made to destroy working system - change function, slowdown system, manipulate file, take a disturbance action
Worm: made to disturb the network working - replicate itself
Trojan: file (not detected as malware) that execute disturb program when run
Backdoor: made to open security hole from inside
Rootkit: act like administrator/root to protect other malware
Spyware: made to spy target (record activity)
